Since January 2021, a consortium of 6 European structures have embarked on an Erasmus+ project of European scope. Supported by the European Commission, it deals with the issue of children's inclusion in and through sport, with a particular focus on children with migration histories.
The project "SmatchS: Sports organisations Matching Social inclusion issues" is an initiative of six organisations from sport, social and academic areas, willing to contribute through their joint efforts to foster social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport. The project focuses on children with a migrant background aged 8-14 and their families by facilitating their access to sport.
